This quarter we are focusing on Communciation with those you manage or lead and also your communication in meetings or conversations. We have a session next week to go through some content, but here is some more for you!
What you will find on this page is a dedicated place for some learning specifically about communication.
There are two sets of videos, the first on Growth Conversations with your direct reports and the second on Difficult Conversations. You can watch all, some or none, up to you!
You'll also find a workbook that you can either download and print or just use as a prompting set of questions. AND….there is also a full PDF of my book Conversations Cteate Growth which I hope you enjoy too.
All this is designed to help you become more aware of the decisions you are making and to reflect on whether you are helping or hindering the version of you that you want to be.

Remember, nothing changes from simply watching, you still have to put the effort in to step into the uncomfortable and do something different with your communication...perhaps speak up more, perhaps listen more....who knows...the communication world is your oyster!I look forward to connecting more, and hearing what impact this program has on shifting your behaviour.

The following videos are useful if you are thinking about heading into a ‘difficult conversation’.
Some people don’t like calling these conversations ‘difficult’ as of course, they may not be difficult! They may be exciting or even an opportunity conversation as opposed to something which has a negative connotation.
However, I haven’t found an alternative phrase that captures what I think is a reality for most of us, that some conversations are just plain difficult!
What we each find difficult varies, one person may not find the same conversation as difficult as you but that only shows that it is less about the conversation and more about those old stories we are telling ourselves.
If we know that there is a level of preparation that we need to do to head into a conversation, these videos will help.
They provide the scafolding for the preparation requied.
As I said when we were together, if you have a specific thing you want to jump on and chat about, let’s do it, but really the only way through a difficult conversation is um…doing it!
We do it, we learn, we do it, we learn and we keep going, remembering that we support each other as we go.
